The Queer Studies Reading Group (QSWG)–a Glasscock Humanities Center working group at Texas A&M University–is a research community of faculty and graduate students interested in the emerging interdisciplinary field of Queer Studies, which questions the meaning of sexual identities, performances, discourses, practices, and representations. The group is particularly interested in engaging work that rejects and destabilizes essentialized ideas about sexuality, gender and race.

The convenors of the QSWG are Dr. Daniel Humphrey, Assistant Professor, Film Studies and Women and Gender Studies at Texas A&M, and Dr. Krista May, Associate Editor of the World Shakespeare Bibliography (Department of English, Texas A&M).

We will use this blog to post updates about the QSWG and its activities, as well as links to readings and other relevant documents.

If you’d like to subscribe to the listsrev for the QSWG at Texas A&M, please e-mail Krista.
